Nurture Balance and Harmony

The Autumn Equinox is a time of equal day and equal night, and for the moment nature is in balance.

It’s time to reap what you have sown, and to give thanks for the harvest, and all that the Earth provides.

It’s time to finish and complete projects and plans, and get ready to plant the new seeds of change.

Use this time to assess where you are in your life and where you plan to be in your future.

This is the time to look back not just on the past year, but also your life, and then look forward as you plan for the future.

Are there any areas of your life that need more balance and harmony. Get really honest with yourself, and see if you have been neglecting some areas, whilst focusing on others.

Here’s an exercise for you to complete:

Assessing Balance and Harmony

Use the Your SHEro’s Journey Assessment Wheel to identify if you are living your life in balance and harmony, or you are focusing on one area to much, whilst neglecting another.

The SHEro’s Assessment Wheel is based on a traditional coaching tool called the Wheel of Life.

Choose 8 areas of your life that are important to you, or choose from these:

  • Health and Fitness
  • Family and Friends
  • Finances/Wealth
  • Career
  • Fun and
  • Recreation
  • Physical
  • Environment
  • Personal Growth
  • Spiritual Growth
  • Contribution

Or use the values that are important to you, for example:

  • Love
  • Honesty
  • Appreciation
  • Compassion
  • Respect
  • Unity
  • Integrity

Once you have chosen 8, write them onto the Wheel below, and rate each area out of 10.

0 = Not satisfied with area at all

10 = Fully satisfied

The lower the number, suggests the more of an energy leak/drain you have in that area, and the need for firmer boundaries.

Assign each area colour, and colour in the relevant number of rings.

This will then give you an overview of where you currently are in your life, what’s working well, and what needs your attention.
