Intellect Vs Intuition

Welcome back to Day 2!

Let’s face it – intuition can be a confusing topic to navigate.

One person’s intuitive insight isn’t true for another.

Intuition, demands that we cut out the noise and trust ourselves.

Both are HUGE asks in an ever increasingly noisy world that loves to tell us what’s ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. A world that likes to tell us how we should behave, what we should do, what we should believe and even how we should dress!

Add to that all the nonsense out there about intuition – how intuition has to look or be a certain way, or that it requires special tools or training…

No wonder people are left confused and doubting themselves.

We prize our intellect, and rightly so – but there’s a time and a place for intellect, and a time and a place for intuition.

It’s BOTH intellect AND intuition, not one or the other.

But our love of our intellect, and the recognition that intellect gets (often more so than intuition), means that we can try and intellectualise our way to intuition.

We read more about our intuition, learn more about it, and think that’s how we become more intuitive, but that’s not possible.

It’s just not how it works.

Intuition is just as much a part of you as breathing. And, just like with breathing, sometimes we fall into unsupportive habits. We need reminding how to do it more effectively, but reading about breathing doesn’t make you breathe better unless you implement the practice.

The same is true of intuition.

Connecting back to your intuition means that you connect back to your inner power.

It requires that you stop and feel, as you connect back to your own truth and your own sense of being.

Intuition is truth.

And truth is the greatest power (yes, even greater than love!), because truth is a change agent. Your life, your beliefs and – as a result – your actions, have to change in response to truth. As when you experience truth, any illusion is destroyed.

Truth brings us the ability to make conscious and empowered choices.

Truth is freedom from the noise of family, cultural and societal expectations.

Truth is the freedom from fear, judgment, ‘should’s and expectations.

Our intuition guides us to the truth – to our truth, the truth that is right for us.

Our intuition is its own intelligence system, which connects us to a higher realm of consciousness.

As I mentioned yesterday, our ability to connect with our intuition is awakening now more than ever.

As you align yourself with the truth of who you are, you align yourself to your intuition.

Just as you don’t become happy – you can only be happy, you don’t become intuitive – you are intuitive. And you have to choose it.

It’s not always the easy path – because as we’ve seen – intuition brings truth. And there’s no hiding from the change that the truth brings.

Your intuitive system is designed to receive the energetic data that your senses are finely attuned to.

When you ignore your intuition, when you deny the truth it has for you, you betray yourself and cause yourself suffering.

When things aren’t working out the way that you hope, or when you feel that life has become a struggle, take a moment to check-in with yourself. Notice where you’re denying (ignoring) what you know to be true…

If you don’t get an immediate answer, don’t worry. That’s why you’re here!
