Breathing
Mindful Breathing
Deep and focused breathing has a positive effect on your energy system.
- Breathe in deeply and fully, and focus on drawing your breath down into your belly.
- Then, exhale slowly and completely.
Rhythmic Breathing
Breathing in and out to a count that feels comfortable to you.
Common rhythms for you to try include:
- Inhale for a count of 2-4 seconds.
Exhale for a count of 4-6 seconds.
- Inhale for a count of 4.
Hold for a count of 4.
Exhale audibly, and gently, for a count of 8.
Meditation
The different forms of meditation are very beneficial to strengthen and tone your energy system.
Whether it’s traditional meditation of sitting quietly, following a guided meditation or walking mindfully. All have a positive effect on your energy.

Laughter
Laughing is a great, and super fun, way to strengthen your energy system.
Put on your favourite film, listen to your favourite comedian, or watch videos of people laughing.
Search on YouTube for ‘Laughing yoga’ or ‘people laughing’.
Laughing is contagious. Even if you don’t feel like laughing, hearing others laugh will soon have you joining in.
Massage
Having a massage is a wonderful way to ensure that your energy continues to flow as it’s designed to.
You can massage yourself or go to a massage therapist.
You can look up reflexology points or acupressure points to really support your energy.
Energy work
Any form or energy work will support your own personal energy.
Choose your favourite form or experiment with new modalities.

Rest
Sleep
As much as taking action and ‘doing’ something is important, so it resting.
Making sure you’re getting enough sleep is essential for your overall health – including your energetic health.
Sensory rest
Giving your senses time to rest is incredibly nourishing.
A fun way to do this is to:
- Turn off all noise and distractions.
- Close your ears, put on an eye mask/cover your eyes.
- Wrap yourself up in a cosy blanket.
- And just rest.
Technology rest
Take a break from technology.
You could try some of the following to see which works for you.
Pay attention and see how you feel.
- Have 1 hour away from all devices each day/week
- Have a no-phone break for the 30 minutes before you go to sleep.
- Have a 12-24 technology break once a month
