I know that looking at safety might not seem like a glamorous or particularly magickal place to start, but it’s essential.
When you know a few basics about keeping yourself safe, you’ll feel more confident in your magick. That means you’ll be better prepared for any unexpected events or experiences that may arise.
First things first…
This has to be a key priority for you, your home and the people, or pets, you may live with.
Now, I don’t mean that your magick will make ‘bad’ things happen… but I do mean you will need to think about:
Also consider your clothes and hair: floaty and loose may feel great, but make sure nothing dangles in any flames!
In a ritual ceremony, I was involved in leading at the Goddess Temple in Glastonbury, I stood up to do my part in the ritual, tripped over my long and floaty skirt and nearly fell in the cauldron!
Do you have smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and a fire extinguisher handy?
More than one house fire has been started by an unattended candle!
These may seem like very mundane things to consider, but they are essential.
And once done, and everything considered and attended to, you can then relax into the more ‘fun’ things, knowing that you’re safe.
