Endings and Beginnings

Samhain is a time of that signals the end of Autumn and the beginning of Winter, the end of the light and the beginning of the darkness.

It’s time to rest, and restore your body, mind and soul, whilst allowing your dreams to incubate.

Before you can make the space for what is to come, you have to release what was.

Honour the Last 12 Months

Make something (biodegradable) that represents the last 12 months – this could be a picture/collage, an essay, something made from clay, a posy of flowers/grasses/herbs.

You could even use your old vision board.

Give thanks for all that you have learnt, discovered, and grown from.

You may want to add some additional words of gratitude to your creation, as sprinkle with dried herbs as an offering.

As you look at your creation, consciously give thanks to everyone who has supported you over the last 12-months.

Then give thanks to your ancestors, without who, you wouldn’t be here right now. (If this doesn’t feel appropriate for you, give thanks to your spiritual ancestors, who have guided you to this path).

When you feel ready, place your creation somewhere it can return to the earth.

Let it go, so that you can begin a new cycle.
