Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today you’re being reminded to get clear on what you want.
When you do, act and become what others expect of you, you start to disconnect from your own feelings to make way for their expectations.
As you disconnect from your feelings you begin to suppress and forget what’s really important to you, and what you actually want.
Your dreams and desires become a distant memory.
Then one day someone asks you what’s important to you, what your dreams are, what do you really want from life? And you don’t have a clear answer for them.
You’ve forgotten your dreams, suppressed them, dismissed them, or put them on hold until the time is right.
Obviously, this doesn’t happen overnight, the disconnection starts small, maybe you say ‘yes’ to someone else when you really wanted to say ‘no’, then it happens again and then again, and then again.
You prioritise someone else’s needs and comfort over your own once, and then this happens again and again and again until it becomes your norm.
It’s time to reconnect to your dreams, to unearth the things in life that light you up and that are important to you.
The world needs you to show up in the fullest expression of who you are. It needs your ideas, your dreams, your opinions, and your passions.
The world is a richer place because you exist.
It’s time to let all of yourself come and play.
In this very moment, just pause, and take a breath. As you choose to reconnect with your dreams.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to feel into and spend time dreaming about what’s really important to you.
Not the things that you feel ‘should’ be important to you.
Not the things that would make other people happy or proud of you.
But the things that you want, the things that light you up.
Give yourself permission to take as long as you like reconnecting to your dreams.
Allow yourself to think as big, or as small, as you like.
It’s time to remember what lights you up and makes you feel fully alive.
Pause, and take a breath. As you reconnect to your dreams.
“I honour and value my dreams!”
I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,
In the meantime, enjoy dreaming in Your SHEro’s Journey!
I’ve always loved to take photos.
To learn how to take better photos is a Call that I’ve had for years.
I even brought a decent camera to take make this possible, but I rarely used it, as I didn’t really know how to get the most out of it.
Of course, I could teach myself with books and videos, but clearly that had never happened.
I kept thinking that I would take photography classes, and even looked at a few that were available locally to me. And still it never happened.
Then I realised what I actually wanted was 1-2-1 tuition.
The idea of trying to carve out weekly time and travelling an hour each way for a two-hour class just wasn’t appealing enough for me to make it happen.
Once I realised that what I really wanted was 1-2-1 tuition, so that I could really focus on the style of photography that I wanted, and not just generic skills, everything flowed much easier.
Instead of still thinking, ‘wouldn’t it be nice…’, I found a teacher and booked onto a 1 day, 1-2-1 workshop out on the land – as what I really want to do is take photos of the landscape.
And the idea of spending a whole day on the land, being tutored by a professional landscape photographer, is so much more appealing than a 6-week generic class at my local college.
But to realise what I wanted, I had to allow myself to really understand what was important to me. I didn’t just want to take photos, I wanted to take photos of the land – so of course being stuck in a classroom didn’t appeal to me!
I also needed something that honoured my current life, and with a young child efficiency is a huge factor for me, so a one-day immersion was much easier for me to arrange than 6-12 evenings.
And I LOVED it! The 1-2-1 photography day on the land was incredible and exactly what I wanted.
