Let Go of the Familiar

Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.

Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.

Today you’re being reminded to let go of the familiar.

Take that risk.

Commit to your dreams and goals.

Let go of everything you know and go all in.

This isn’t a time to try and control events in your life, or to try and control the outcome.

You don’t have to do it alone, but you do have to decide to commit to yourself as you align with your values and your desired feelings and move towards your dreams.

It isn’t always easy to let go of all that you know.

Even if it’s not what you need or what fills your heart anymore, there is comfort in the familiar.

Take a risk and step into alignment with your dreams and desires.

Choose yourself.

This isn’t about pushing or forcing, but allowing things to unfold.

Allowing yourself to step forward even when you don’t have all the answers.

Allowing yourself to say ‘yes’, without needing to control the ‘how’.

This is a time to believe in yourself.

A time to commit and then trust in yourself and something bigger than you.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you let go of the way things have always been done.

I’d love to tell you that I find letting go really easy.

I’d love to tell you that I never try and hold on to things I’ve outgrown just because they’re familiar.

But I can’t, and even if I did tell you that I doubt you’d believe me.

But what I can tell you and that I know to be true, is that when I do let go, even after kicking and screaming, magical things happen, things that surpass even my wildest dreams.

A few years ago, I wrote an article titled: Why I burnt my vision board’, and it spoke to the reason we need to let go more often, in it I wrote:

“When you create a vision board you are telling the universe what you want, you are placing your order. But you can only order from the limited selection that you are aware of.

What if there was something better, something you weren’t even aware of.”

And that’s why I encourage you to let go of the familiar, as whilst you’re fighting to try and keep everything the same, or at least under your control, you miss the other opportunities that are waiting for you, and who knows they could be much more magical and fun than you ever thought possible!
