Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today’s podcast is dedicated to a very special SHEro and member of our Re-Enchant Your Life community, Allison. Allison is the first to complete her 30-day daily dedication to something that truly supports her in her everyday life, so in her honour she has today’s podcast dedicated to her.
Congratulations Allison, for showing up and embracing more of your true magical self!
Today you’re being reminded to love who you are.
You can spend so much time trying to be what other people expect you to be, to try and live up to the standards that society impose upon you, that you can lose touch with your own brilliance.
Those quirks, traits, habits, passions and interests that are unique to you, you may try and hide them, to suppress and ignore them so that you don’t stand out or draw attention to yourself.
But it’s time to embrace you – all of you.
How can you really appreciate your magnificence if you don’t give yourself a chance to fully express all of you?
How can you know how much of a positive impact you can have in your own life and the ripple effect that can create throughout the lives of others, if you aren’t comfortable being and fully expressing your truth?
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you let yourself experience your own fabulousness.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to think about all of the things that make you, you.
Then choose three of these things and embody them fully.
Perhaps there’s a type of music that you love, a style of clothing that you adore, or a sense of humour that makes you cry with laughter.
Spend more time listening, watching, wearing, sharing, experiencing all of the things that make you come alive.
Practice being you. Practice exploring and expressing the parts of you that you may have played down, supressed or not given a chance.
Say ‘yes’ to what lights you up. And stop doing, or say ‘No, to those things that keep your truth hidden.
Show up fully and fall in love with who you really are.
Pause, and take a breath. As you love being you.
“I love who I am”
I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,
In the meantime, enjoy being more you with each and every step you take on Your SHEro’s Journey!
Every Sunday in our Re-Enchant Your Life community we have an end of the week ritual called GRACE, yes GRACE is an acronym, of course it is lol, I do love an acronym.
During this practice part of it is to spend some time really embodying the truth of who, a chance for you to savour your own flavour, so that you get a chance to remind yourself of who you really are, because in a world that’s busy telling us who it wants us to be, it’s easy to forget.
One of the ways I hope to encourage people to remember who they are is with this exercise that always makes me laugh.
Values and feelings that are important to us reflect the truth of who we are, but if I were to ask someone ‘what is a feeling or a value that you want front and centre of your life’ it’s really easy for our conscious brain to still tell us what it thinks we want to hear, and we might think ‘Oh yes love that’s a good value, I’ll have that’.
The quick exercise we don in our GRACE practice, is designed to bypass the conscious mind and really tap into your subconscious, as when we do this we can reveal so much truth about ourselves.
It’s a really simple exercise, I just ask: ‘If you were an ‘X’ what would you be?’
I’ll share a couple of my favourite ones with you now for an example. When you have your answers see if you can identify the common links between them to give you more insight into who you truly, the truth of who you are when no one else is looking.
One of my favourites, well one of my most memorable ones was when I asked:
‘If you were a pizza topping what kind of pizza topping would you be?’, and when you do these exercises it’s always the first answer that’s the right answer.
When I first did this, I asked what kind of animal would you be? So, what kind of animal would you be? And straight away an animal popped into my head and I was like ‘Oh no that’s not me, Oh no, no, no’, but then I thought about it and I realised that animal really did embody the truth of who I was in many, many ways, how I felt about it, how the animal behaved, the movement of the animal, it all gave me so many clues into what was important to me.
My final question that I’ll leave you with is if you were an item of clothing what would you be? Remember first answer is the right answer, and then throughout the day just play with any insights and links you have with the answers you receive from these three simple question, they will give you much insight into the truth of who you are.
