Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today is a reminder to do those things you’ve been putting off.
Take a moment to stop, to pause in the middle of the busyness of life.
There’s something that’s been trying to get your attention. Maybe you’ve been ignoring it, not wanting to face it, or hoping it would go away.
Listen to your intuition, what’s calling for you to address it.
Maybe it’s at home or at work, a conversation that needs to be had with family, friends or a co-worker, the stack of mail piling up on the kitchen countertop, or on your desk, the health issue that needs to be addressed.
Get clear on what you’ve been resisting.
And then in this very moment, drop your shoulders, let go of the hidden shame, guilt or resentment that you may be carrying towards it and smile. Give yourself the cheekiest, smile you can.
It may feel forced to start with, but then feel yourself sink into the energy of your smile as it melts and softens your body and radiates through you, lifting your energy.
Can you go one step further?
Drop your head back, and just laugh.
Allow yourself to let go of the pressure and the tension, if you find this hard ask yourself; are you afraid to let go? If so why? What do you think will happen if you do?
Then laugh some more.
Now that you’ve freed yourself up and made some room, you now have the space to face what it is you’ve been avoiding.
Take responsibility and get organised.
Ask for help, do what you need to feel supported and move forward.
Be proactive, catch up and get ahead.
All that energy that you’ve used putting it off, thinking about it, but not taking any action, will now be yours to use for things that are more nourishing for you.
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you allow yourself to laugh.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to laugh. Watch a film that makes you laugh, listen to your favourite comedy sketch, find videos on youtube that make you cry with laughter. Spend time with friends that make you roar with laughter, recount your funniest memories.
Just laugh.
If you’re still struggling watch a video of other people laughing, you won’t be able to help yourself but join in. Here’s one for you to get started with
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, and laugh.
Today’s Affirmation:
“I allow myself to let go and laugh”
I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,
In the meantime, enjoy laughing!
PostScript
So many times, we can imagine a situation to be much worse than the actual reality.
People can spend so much time and energy avoiding doing something because they are unsure of the outcome or don’t want to face what the consequences actually could be.
I often think that if we put as much effort into addressing the issue as we do avoiding it, then issues, real and perceived, would be resolved a whole lot quicker, and we’d have a whole lot more energy – I’ve certainly been guilty of this!
And then years ago, someone shared this analogy with me, and it’s always stayed with me, and if you know me, I’ve probably shared it with you before, but here it is again.
Imagine a High School dance.
A young boy comes up and asks a girl to dance, she giggles and says she’ll think about it.
Both are now left in limbo.
He now has to wait to see if she will dance with him.
And she can’t dance with anyone else until she decides ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
If she had just said ‘yes’ or ‘no’, the young boy would’ve been free to ask someone else to dance, and the young girl would’ve been available to dance with who she really wanted to dance with.
Obviously the story is crude and in reality wouldn’t really play out like that, but I’m sure you get the idea.
When you make a choice, when you face what you need to face, your energy and resources are then free to move on and deal with the reality of a situation, and you’re not stuck with the energy drains of guessing and not knowing.
