Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today you’re being reminded to speak from your heart.
Clearly communicate your truth.
Give yourself permission to say what’s in your heart.
Stand tall and take up space with your voice.
Your words have power.
Use them to uplift and inspire yourself and others.
There is magic and connection created when you share your truth.
Say what needs to be said.
Allow others to clearly hear what’s important to you as you share your hopes, dreams and desires.
Take a stand for yourself and what you believe in.
Speak up confidently, take up space unapologetically.
Ask for what you need.
Don’t hold yourself back, silence yourself or think your words don’t have value.
You matter, your thoughts matter, your words matter.
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you connect with what needs to be said.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to acknowledge what you need to say.
Maybe there are unsaid words that you need to say to someone.
Perhaps you haven’t been asking for what you need, or you’ve been withholding your vision of the future.
It’s time to speak your words of truth and communicate clearly.
Share your feelings and express your hopes and dreams.
Pause, and take a breath. As you speak from your heart.
“I speak from my heart”
I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,
In the meantime, enjoy communicating your truth as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!
To become more confident in speaking from your heart, try doing the SHEro Power pose before you speak.
If you know me, you know I LOVE the power pose, that I’ve loving re-named the SHEro Power Pose.
Amy Cuddy has researched body language and explains how it works in her brilliant TED Talk.
She showed that by doing a power pose before being interviewed made the people in her study much more confident as it changed their chemistry and increased their testosterone, the hormone responsible for making you feel more powerful.
The control group, who had to perform power-less poses, slouching, arms crossed protectively over their bodies and heads lowered, had the opposite response, and the power-less posing participants showed an increase in cortisol levels, the hormone that makes you more reactive to stress.
So next time you need to speak from your heart, before you have the conversation, find somewhere quiet and spend a couple of minutes standing tall, with your hands raised up and out to the sky, or with your hands on your hips, and your feet planted firmly on the floor, further than hip width apart – yes just like She-Ra and Wonder Woman… and feel your confidence soar!
