Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today is reminding you of the importance of refreshing and renewing the way you look things.
In particular, how you see yourself, your life and the space that you spend most of your time in.
It’s all too easy to fall into habits.
You respond to situations, because that’s the way you’ve always done it before.
You do things on autopilot, forgetting to ask if you still actually want, or even need to do it.
You stop seeing the spaces in which you spend most of your time, and barely notice what maybe bothered you before.
Most of the time this is convenient and makes it easy to get the day to day things done.
But it’s also important to occasionally just stop, and asses if these habits and routines are you being efficient, or are they masking any issues and allowing you not to address them.
Take a moment to step back from the routine of life and look around you with fresh eyes.
Is there room to bring more joy into your day?
Can you reignite more curiosity for life?
Could you create spaces and routines, that leave you feeling more nourished, nurtured and fulfilled?
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you witness your life and routines with fresh eyes.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to look around you with fresh eyes, in particular those areas where you spend most of your time.
Maybe you can freshen up the space, remove any clutter. Add some splashes of colour, some fresh flowers, or some art.
Set a timer for 10 minutes. What could you do to revive your space in 10 minutes? Vacuum, polish, clean a mirror or a window, light a candle, tidy away some clutter, rearrange a cupboard or a drawer?
Get creative and take quick, focused action.
Pause, and take a breath. As you allow yourself to see with fresh eyes.
“I choose to look at the world differently”
I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,
In the meantime, enjoy looking at the world with fresh eyes!
One of my favourite things to do, and yes I’m aware this will make me sound stranger, ever more so than usual…
But I love to look at things from different angles.
What I mean by that is… as I walk down a street, any street, I love to look up to the roof line.
If it’s a street I’ve walked many times before, I love to look for things that I’ve not noticed before.
As we walk, we often just keep our gaze fixed in front of us, but look up, and see what you can notice.
Obviously I don’t mean look up and pay no attention to the road so you fall in a hole….
But just look at things differently.
In high streets, I’m always amazed that when you look up from the same old, same old, shop brand giants that rule the streets, when you look up, there’s incredible architecture, or the personality of people that live above the shops dangling from their windows.
When I went to New York City, I was constantly looking at the roof lines, amazed at how much sky and space there was above the shops. Reminding me that things are not usually as we expect them to be, but we have to remain curious so that we can see what it actually is.
Once when I was visiting a friend, her brother was coming down the stairs on his belly, when I asked what he was doing, he just replied: looking at the world form a different angle.
Brilliant! I’ve not done that myself yet… but maybe I should.
