Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today you’re being reminded that routine can be dangerous.
Take a moment to consider your routines, the things you habitually do without ever really having to think about it.
Routines can be supportive. They allow you to do things with ease and little, or less, effort.
However, routines can also sneak you into habitual patterns, and prevent you from seeing new opportunities.
They can get you stuck in a rut physically, emotionally, energetically and spiritually.
Routines can make you complacent about your thoughts, beliefs and the consequences of your actions.
They can make you think that it’s safer and more comfortable to be in your comfort zone.
This can make routines more dangerous than risk.
Risk makes you consider the options available to you, it reminds you of what you have to lose, and also what you have to gain.
Risk makes you consider if the outcome is important enough for you to actually take action.
It allows you to consider if you are living a life aligned with your values and your truth.
Risk brings your conscious awareness to how you’re currently living and it presents an opportunity for growth.
Even if you decide against taking the risk, you have looked at your options and made a conscious choice based on what’s important to you.
Routine doesn’t often allow this type of regular reflection.
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you consider what routines you find yourself in.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to think about your routines.
Evaluate if these routines, whether they be activities, thoughts or actions, serve you or prevent your growth.
Are these routines aligned with your truth, your values and desires?
Which are you consciously keeping, and which need a makeover, a shake-up, or removing altogether?
Pause, and take a breath. As you open yourself up to opportunities and growth.
“I choose growth over routine”
I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,
In the meantime, enjoy breaking free of the routines that bind you as you walk your SHEro’s Journey!
Sometimes it’s great to have a routine.
It simplifies things, making everyday mundane tasks easier to do.
However, it’s also important to regularly assess if what you spend your time thinking about and doing, actually serve you, or have you been doing them out of habit.
Is there a better way to spend your time and energy?
Routinely getting up, brushing my teeth and having a shower serves me. It doesn’t take much thought and I feel much better for it.
It’s just something I do and don’t need to pay much attention to.
But routine hasn’t always served me.
There was a time when I was painfully shy.
The story I routinely told myself was that I was shy, and I believed it.
This routine belief meant that it never even occurred to me to put myself forward for anything that required me to be in front of an audience, or to speak up, I shared before how I’d even avoid making telephone calls.
I believed this story and felt sick at the idea of giving a talk.
Yet… when years later I took the risk and did get up in front of a crowd of people I loved it – well after the initial nerves lol
These days I don’t have any issues speaking to large crowds either in person or over video conferencing calls.
People find it hard to believe that once I was painfully shy.
It took me breaking from the habit, from the pattern of that story so that I could re-write a new one.
