Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today you’re being asked to be generous.
To be generous in your thoughts, actions and/or resources.
What could you do for someone else that they would really appreciate?
What could you do that would really brighten someone else’s day?
To show that you hear them, that you see them and that you value them.
How could you show your appreciation for someone else, to thank them for all that they bring to your life, your community, the wider world.
You could make a bold gesture, or perhaps something anonymous.
Listen to what feels like the perfect thing for you to do.
Give without expectation.
Expect nothing in return.
Give for the joy of giving.
Feel into your own inner sense of abundance and give from that place.
Be generous. Be kind. Be thoughtful.
Right now, just take a moment to stop and pause, to take a breath, as you as think about what would feel fun to pay forward.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to do something for someone else.
Do something just for the joy of brightening someone else’s day.
What could you do to make someone smile?
What could you do to make their day just a little easier?
What could you do to let someone know that you’re thinking about them, so they know that someone cares?
Pause, and take a breath. As you decide what you will do.
Today’s Affirmation:
“I give with a grateful heart”
I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,
In the meantime, enjoy being more generous!
PostScript
Being generous is something that’s important to me.
Whether it’s with my time, resources, attention or belief around a person’s intent.
You never truly know what’s going on for someone, or what they’re really experiencing.
You never know when a small act of kindness, or generosity will mean a huge thing to someone, and how it could turn around their day, their view of the world, or even their life.
At school one of my favourite subjects was art.
And my Art teacher was incredibly generous with her time and resources with me.
I grew up in a tiny fishing village on the coast of Cornwall, and my Teacher introduced me to books about social issues and cultures that I just wasn’t aware of back then.
Her generosity, going above what was expected of her as an art teacher, really shaped how I saw the world, and fuelled my love of people, and my desire to really understand what goes on behind the mask we wear and the stories we tell ourselves and each other, both as people and as cultures.
Her lessons taught me so much more than what it meant to become an artist or to understand art, she taught me about people.
She ignited a curiosity and a passion in me that still after all these years, well decades, burns strong.
What could you ignite in someone else’s life?
