Listen to the show:

Today on the A Pinch of Magick podcast, I’m joined by Dee Norman whose book: Burn a Black Candle: An Italian American Grimoire, is released this month.
We discuss her experience of growing up in a family with Italian-American magick and how she reclaimed these traditions that were often spoken in hushed tones.
We discuss:
- Dee’s definition of magick
- The importance of protection magick
- The Evil Eye – how to detect the evil eye and cure it
- How to discover your own family’s magickal traditions
- How to work with your ancestors
- Finding the Saints who want to work with you / when you need them
- Using divination, in particular Emblem cards
- Creating altars
- Incorporating magick into everyday life
- The creation and use of sigils
- Dee’s go-to magick
- And Dee shares the one piece of magick that she would love everyone to do
