Listen. Because listening’s important:
Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.
Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.
Today you’re being reminded to listen to the needs of your body.
Your body is constantly communicating with you.
Sometimes this is obvious.
You feel thirsty, so you know to drink water.
You feel hungry, so you eat.
You feel tired so you rest.
Sometimes it’s less obvious.
You reach out for something, but before you touch it even though you can’t see it, you can sense that it’s hot, so you don’t grab it.
However, we’ve become so disconnected from our bodies, and taught not to trust them, told their signals are an inconvenience, that the messages have started to become lost in translation.
For example, often when you feel hungry, you’re actually thirsty.
So, if these really obvious and tangible signs are being confused, is it any wonder that these subtler signs get ignored or dismissed.
That twinge you feel when you are making a choice, the slight contraction or expansion when you meet a new person.
The throb of your hip, an ache in your joint,
A quiet knowing, a subtle whisper.
Can you tell the difference between a symbolic message from your body or a literal cry for help?
Do you know when your body is communicating or trying to get your attention?
In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you pay attention to your body.
Today’s SHEro Action:
Today’s SHEro action is to listen to your body.
Your body is incredible.
All of the things she does each day without you even being aware is phenomenal.
So today, pay attention to her intelligence.
Sit quietly and feel into your body.
Notice any aches or pains.
Where is she taking your attention?
Ask her what she needs from you, ask the areas of discomfort what message they have for you.
You may be surprised at the answers.
Keep the conversation going over the next couple of weeks and record your insights, see what patterns are emerging.
Sometimes we have to make a conscious choice to be with ourselves, especially as the world can appear to get busier and noisier, but when we call back our power from the distractions around us, tune into the wisdom and messages from our body, it’s amazing the clarity and insight you can receive.
Pause, and take a breath. As you give your body the chance to communicate with you.

Years ago, a client came to see me with sciatica.
She could barely move and had been in bed for a week.
She said it had all started with a cold and then she had sciatica.
It turned out that she had been continuously ignoring her body’s request for some rest.
She had the cold, and she didn’t rest, she carried on working as much as she did before.
This was a repeating pattern in her life.
She’d get a cold, work through it and then end up in bed with sciatica.
It was like the only way her body could get her to stop was to literally take her off her legs and lay her up for a week or two with sciatica.
Perhaps your body does something similar?
Before your body needs to take such drastic action, get into the habit of listening for, and tuning into her messages.
