Be with Yourself

Be with Yourself

Listen. Because listening’s important:

Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.

Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.

Today you’re being reminded to simply be with yourself.

Give yourself some space to reconnect with yourself.

Space so that you can listen to your thoughts.

Space to get clear on your needs and desires.

Space so that you can hear your intuition and trust the next steps you’re ready to take.

Rest. Reflect. Renew.

Retreat into your own space.

Remove yourself from the routine and habits of your everyday life.

Just be with yourself.

Learn to adore being in your own company.

Become your own best friend.

Give yourself the time and space to really listen to your own needs, to witness your dreams and desires, and to hear the whispers from your soul.

Trust yourself.

Trust your wisdom.

Trust your inner knowing.

Come into a deeper relationship with yourself.

Savour in your own magnificence.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you get to know yourself better.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to create some time where you can be alone with yourself.

It doesn’t matter if it’s for minutes or hours, it only matters that you make the space and time for yourself.

Spend this time resting and reconnecting with yourself.

Remember all the things you love, your childhood dreams, your favourite memories.

Retreat from the everyday, so that you can remember who you are on a much deeper level, the you that you wanted to be before the world told you who you should be.

Pause, and take a breath. As you reconnect to the essence of who you are.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I love and respect myself”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy being with yourself, as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

I have to be honest and say that I have to consciously remind myself to be with myself.

I know that sounds daft, as I’m obviously with myself all day.

But I’m usually doing something, rather than just being.

Or if I’m not physically doing something, I’ll be reading, listening to music or a podcast, or researching something.

I’m not actively moving, but I’m still ‘busy’ and not fully present with myself.

Even when I swim, I love to listen to audiobooks…

The one time I do give myself time with myself is when I walk.

I love to walk over the hills and in the woods with just me and the nature around me.

No distractions.

Walking in silence, with nothing but myself, my thoughts and the rhythm of my movement.

During this time, I often find that just being with myself, allowing myself the time and space to hear my thoughts, I often get clarity on an issue that I wasn’t expecting or even trying to get.

And often in the silence and presence of my own self, I get the best inspiration and connection with my intuition, as I can actually hear it.

Sometimes we have to make a conscious choice to be with ourselves, especially as the world can appear to get busier and noisier, but when we call back our power from the distractions around us, it’s amazing the clarity and insight you can receive.

Embrace Your Unique Expression

Embrace Your Unique Expression

Today you’re being reminded to embrace your unique expression.

Shake things up a bit.

Explore how you’re showing up in the world and expressing yourself.

Is the way that you live your life, the clothes you wear, the way in which you spend your day, in alignment with your values, energy and truth.

Remember, how you spend your day, is how you spend your life.

Are you creating a life that fulfils you and honours the truth of who you are, or is life just slipping by, filled with habitual behaviours and unconscious routine?

It’s time to break free of what’s been expected of you, and live life on your own terms.

Trust and follow that small nudge that calls from within you.

Listen and take action on your intuition.

Give a voice to your playful and whimsical side.

And trust your inner-knowing.

Even the smallest change that honours your true expression, will have a huge ripple effect in your energy and throughout your life.

Never underestimate the impact that small changes can make.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, ground yourself in your own unique expression.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro Action is to something differently.

Take a different route to work, wear your hair differently, choose a different colour to wear, wear clothes that you love, but keep hidden in the wardrobe. Try a new way to move your body.

Experiment, and consciously break away from your daily routine, no matter how small it may be.

Pause, and take a breath as you embrace and celebrate your own uniqueness.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I joyfully express myself in the world”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy expressing yourself on Your SHEro’s Journey!

It’s all too easy to want to fit in. There’s part of fitting in that feels like acceptance and belonging.

But it’s a false sense of security if you’re not really being yourself.

From a young age we’re taught how to dress, how to behave and what’s expected of you.

Perhaps that structure mirrored exactly who you were, or perhaps it stifled you being able to find out.

It’s one of the reasons that it’s important to go through a phase of ‘rebellion’ in your early teens, so that you can explore your boundaries and what you really do like, whilst ideally in the safety of a loving family or community to hold space for you whilst you do.

However, unfortunately most people may not have had that.

Instead maybe you didn’t have your chance to rebel, instead feeling pressure to be the ‘good girl’ who didn’t make a fuss or cause any trouble.

Or perhaps you continue to rebel as a way of expressing your independence, and proving that you weren’t like others around you, perhaps even trying to distance yourself from your family.

Expressing your true self doesn’t come from a place of proving or trying to fit in.

It doesn’t come from a place of trying, it comes from a place of being.

It’s not forced, it’s natural.

Embrace who you are.

Embrace what you truly love and what lights you up.

If you don’t know what that is, have fun exploring and finding out.

Whatever you love, whatever you enjoy, embrace expressing all of it.

Step into Your Power

Step into Your Power

Today is reminding you to step into your power.

Do you know what it feels like to step into your power?

To dance with your power, to own and embody your power?

You are not designed to stand on the side lines of your life, you were cast as the leading lady.

Are you actions congruent and aligned with a woman stepping up and owning her own space, her own body, owning her ideas and her dreams?

Are you using your voice and actions to express your truth, or are you toning yourself down, and hiding part of yourself for the comfort of others?

It’s time to call back your power and live your life with you and your needs front and centre.

You can still care and support others, but this is a time of ‘Me first’, so that you have the reserves to support others from a place of fullness and love, rather than resentment and overwhelm.

You have nothing to prove.

This isn’t about power over, a power of overcoming another, it’s not loud or brash, it is a deeper, quiet power, a power from within, a power that just is.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you tap into your own power.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to notice who and what you have given your power away to.

If you find yourself holding back on sharing your truth because you think you may be silenced, shamed, ridiculed or rejected, it’s time to be honest with yourself.

You are not responsible for the reactions of others; they are responsible for themselves.

Call back your power, feel the cords that are connected to others, coming back to you with love and ease.

Stand in your truth, do and say what you need to say – you can do this loudly or quietly, but notice what no longer serves you and what’s holding you back from fully expressing your truth, and then let it go, heal it, get support, but decide if you want to keep it or not – that’s your choice, and that’s your power.

Pause, and take a breath. As you allow yourself to call back your power.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I am ready to stand in and fully own my power”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy wielding and weaving your power as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

Often when we make a decision and then find ourselves doubting ourselves hours, days or weeks later, it’s because we’re not consistently standing in our own power.

When you don’t have clear boundaries and allow people to behave in ways that don’t align with your energy and values, you’re not firmly standing in your power.

When you’re not standing in your power, it’s easier for other people’s energy, behaviours, judgements and expectations to influence how we feel and behave, also impacting the choices we make.

When you aren’t clear on where you end and other people begin, it means you’re not standing in your own power and other people can unduly influence you.

It’s time to remember your own power, to set clear boundaries, to understand where you energetically end and other people begin, so that you don’t get entangled in their thoughts, fears and dramas.

Stand in your own power, so that you can make decisions based on clarity and confidence.

Stand in your own power so that you can make choices from that place of inner power and purpose, instead of expectations and should.

The Power of ‘No’

The Power of ‘No’

Today is reminding you of the power of ‘No’.

You can absolutely say ‘No’.

You can say ‘No’ even if the request is reasonable and asked from a place of integrity.

You can say ‘No’ because you don’t want to be busy, or even busier.

You can say ‘No’, for no other reason than you don’t feel like it.

You can say ‘No’ and just take the time to sit at home and do nothing.

You can say ‘No’ as a way of saying ‘Yes’ to yourself and your own passions.

It’s time to stop applauding people, especially women, who are super busy and running themselves into the ground, the people with so many things on their plate that they can barely keep their head above water, and instead congratulate the woman who prioritises rest and her own health, self-care and sanity.

When you say ‘No’ to others, you are saying ‘Yes’ to yourself, your energy, your relationships and your family.

Of course, someone might initially be upset that you’ve said ‘No’, but it’s much better that you’re honest and upfront rather than feeling resentful or saying ‘No’ at the very last-minute causing everyone involved additional stress.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you feel into the power of saying ‘No’.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to practice saying ‘No’.

Start by saying the word out loud, ‘No’, ‘No’, ‘No’.

Then look yourself in the mirror and repeat the word ‘No’

Get really comfortable hearing and saying the word ‘No’.

Then when it feels appropriate, when someone asks you to do something that you don’t want to, say ‘No’.

No guilt, no dramas, just say ‘No’.

Pause, and take a breath. As you give yourself permission to say ‘No’.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I lovingly say ‘No’ so that I can say ‘Yes’ to myself”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy the freedom of saying ‘No’ as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

There’s something that I call ‘the cookie-no’.

It’s that ‘no’ we say when we don’t really mean it, the ‘no’ with some wiggle room.

For example, if my little boy wants a cookie, I can say ‘no’. But he’ll probably sense it’s a ‘no’ that if he’s lucky he might be able to push.

The kind of ‘no’ that if he asks over and over, he might get his way… the kind of ‘no’ that he can certainly turn into a ‘yes’ with his dad…

But if there was a ‘no’ that I meant, a ‘no’ that kept him out of immediate danger, then my energy would align so strongly that he wouldn’t have any doubt that I meant it.

People in your life are the same, they know if your ‘no’ is a real heart-felt ‘no’ or if it’s a ‘cookie-no’

When you practice saying ‘no’ unapologetically. When you say ‘no’ and mean it with your whole heart, free of guilt, self-judgment and expectation, people know that you mean it and will stop trying to push their luck.

When you say ‘no’ and mean it, people will respect you and your boundaries as much as you respect you and your boundaries.

When you say ‘no and mean it, you can say ‘yes’ to all the things that you actually do want to do.

And it all starts with you saying those two little letters ‘n’ and ‘o’.

No, no, no.

Show Up for Yourself

Show Up for Yourself

Today you’re being reminded to keep showing up for yourself.

And keep showing up for your dreams and desires.

Show up even when it feels hard.

Show up even when you feel tired.

Show up even when you feel that you’d rather give up.

Showing up for yourself and your dreams may look like taking bold and courageous action.

It may look like speaking out, going against the crowd and appearing to be a lone voice.

Showing up for yourself can also look like saying ‘no’ and prioritising your need to stop so that you can take time to process and assimilate all that you go through.

Showing up for yourself can also look like being fiercely protective of your need to rest, nourish and rejuvenate.

Take up space with your presence, voice and ideas.

Be unapologetic in your belief for yourself.

Get your needs met.

Do what you need to do.

Acknowledge the ebb and flow of your energy as you learn to honour your changing needs.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you feel into showing up for yourself.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to acknowledge your changing needs.

Start tracking your energy levels and emotions.

You’re a woman, you are not designed to be static.

Your energy ebbs and flows throughout the month.

Notice how it relates to your own menstrual cycle, and / or the cycle of the moon – there’s no coincidence that the average length of cycle for both a woman and the moon are 28-29 days.

Download the free charting tool and become curious.

Use the information that you gather as a tool to fully show up for yourself and your needs, you’ll be amazed at just how much more productive you’ll become, and how you’ll feel less crazy and more in tune with yourself and your own rhythms.

Pause, and take a breath. As you give yourself permission to show up for yourself.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I unapologetically show up for myself”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy showing up for yourself on Your SHEro’s Journey!

One of the greatest ways to show up for yourself is to get to know yourself better.

Get to know how your energy, intuition, focus and need for rest ebbs and flows through the month, and the year.

Notice how changes in your body, your environment and the seasons affect you.

When do you feel most inspired and dynamic?

When do you need to slow down, dream and rest?

Showing up for yourself looks different during each of those times.

Showing up for yourself means taking a stand for what you need in that moment and knowing it will change.

Showing up for yourself means getting clear on who you are, what you want and what you need from life.

Sometimes it may be hard to prioritise yourself, especially in a world that would have you prioritise the needs of others over yourself, show up for yourself anyway.

Trust Yourself

Trust Yourself

Today you’re being reminded to trust yourself.

To go within and reconnect to your inner wisdom.

Whatever your concern, your challenge, or question, the true answer lies within.

When you can retreat and listen to your own wisdom, you will find clarity about your next course of action.

You can seek wisdom, counsel and guidance from those trusted sources around you, but ultimately the final decision rests with you.

You need to give yourself permission to trust what you already know.

Do what you need to do to fill yourself up, to nourish and replenish yourself.

When you restore your inner resources, you can access and trust your own wisdom with greater ease.

Take some time today to stop and do whatever you need to feel refreshed and refilled.

Maybe you need to nap, read your favourite book, connect with nature, have a catch up with friends.

Restore yourself, and then spend some time in the peace and silence, as you give yourself the space and time to find the answers to your own questions.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you listen for the answers.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to ask for the answers.

Think of a question or challenge that you’re currently facing.

Then write down the question you have, the answer you seek, on top of a piece of paper.

Then allow yourself to answer.

No judgement, no interruptions, just let the words flow as you write the answer to your question. This isn’t a time to worry about spelling or grammar, just allow the words to be written freely.

If you’re struggling, to further remove your mind from the process, so that you can access your intuition and your inner most knowing, you can respond to the question by writing with your non-dominant hand.

Pause, and take a breath. As you give yourself permission to have the answers.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I trust that the answers I seek are within”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

We’ve often been taught not to trust ourselves.

We give our authority away to others, as we see them as more knowledgeable than ourselves.

And whilst that may be true in some cases, perhaps they do have more knowledge than you on a certain topic, that doesn’t automatically mean they know what’s best for you.

Sometimes people want to give their power away, and let other people make decisions for them.

Perhaps they’re afraid of ‘getting it wrong’. Or they don’t want to take responsibility for something.

If someone else makes a decision for us, and it doesn’t work out, well surely that’s their fault and not our own?

We can turn to others because we’ve genuinely become so disconnected from ourselves, that we can no longer hear the truth from within.

Whatever has been the case in the past, no longer has to be true for the future.

Learn to listen to yourself.

Learn to notice how your body communicates with you; do you hear, feel, or see messages?

The more you practice, the easier it becomes.

Start by becoming curious.

Curiosity opens you up to notice and receive the messages around you.

It then becomes easier for you to trust yourself.
