Say ‘Yes’ and Start Something New

Say ‘Yes’ and Start Something New

Listen. Because listening’s important:

Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.

Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.

Today you’re being reminded to say ‘yes’ to yourself and start something new.

Begin a project, start a new hobby, nurture a talent or skill, claim a desired dream, express a different side of yourself.

What have you been thinking about, mulling over and working on for ages?

What thoughts or ideas won’t leave you alone and keep coming back to you?

What have you been daydreaming about?

What is ready to be expressed in the world?

It’s time to say ‘yes’ to yourself.

It’s time to take action.

It’s time to get out of your head and into your life.

You’ve been nurturing and caring for these projects, dreams and desires, it’s now time to birth them into the world.

Share them with the world and let them soar.

Let yourself be filled with the fullness of your highest expression, as you share this dynamic energy with the world.

Whatever you’ve been putting off, now is the time to start.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you allow yourself to say ‘yes’ to yourself and your dreams.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to say ‘yes’ and to start.

Take action on that thing that you’ve always wanted to do, but have been postponing, or waiting for the right time.

Now is the right time.

Take action towards it.

You might be able to do it alone, or you might need to enrol some help or support.

Do what you need to do, but make a start.

Pause, and take a breath. As you give yourself permission to start.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I wholeheartedly say ‘YES’ to myself”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy saying ‘yes’ as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

Women have often been taught to prioritise the comfort of other people over their own desires.

It can be hard to shift from thinking about others, supporting others and prioritising others, to actually prioritising yourself.

There’s no question that any change in behaviour is hard.

But start small.

You don’t have to ‘Eat, Pray. Love’ your way around the world in order to prioritise you, but perhaps you can start making time to do the things or explore the things that you’re curious about.

Say ‘yes’ to slowing down and making time to read that growing pile of unread books.

Saying ‘yes’ to catching up with friends who you’ve been rescheduling.

Saying ‘yes’ to starting lots of hobbies and classes, and then saying ‘yes’ to quitting most of them whilst you decide which, if any, you want to pursue.

Say ‘yes’ to anything that feels aligned and good to you.

And importantly, say ‘no’ to other people, activities or events, so that you can say ‘yes’ to yourself.

Listen to the Needs of Your Body

Listen to the Needs of Your Body

Today you’re being reminded to listen to the needs of your body.

Your body is constantly communicating with you.

Sometimes this is obvious.

You feel thirsty, so you know to drink water.

You feel hungry, so you eat.

You feel tired so you rest.

Sometimes it’s less obvious.

You reach out for something, but before you touch it even though you can’t see it, you can sense that it’s hot, so you don’t grab it.

However, we’ve become so disconnected from our bodies, and taught not to trust them, told their signals are an inconvenience, that the messages have started to become lost in translation.

For example, often when you feel hungry, you’re actually thirsty.

So, if these really obvious and tangible signs are being confused, is it any wonder that these subtler signs get ignored or dismissed.

That twinge you feel when you are making a choice, the slight contraction or expansion when you meet a new person.

The throb of your hip, an ache in your joint,

A quiet knowing, a subtle whisper.

Can you tell the difference between a symbolic message from your body or a literal cry for help?

Do you know when your body is communicating or trying to get your attention?

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you pay attention to your body.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to listen to your body.

Your body is incredible.

All of the things she does each day without you even being aware is phenomenal.

So today, pay attention to her intelligence.

Sit quietly and feel into your body.

Notice any aches or pains.

Where is she taking your attention?

Ask her what she needs from you, ask the areas of discomfort what message they have for you.

You may be surprised at the answers.

Keep the conversation going over the next couple of weeks and record your insights, see what patterns are emerging.

Sometimes we have to make a conscious choice to be with ourselves, especially as the world can appear to get busier and noisier, but when we call back our power from the distractions around us, tune into the wisdom and messages from our body, it’s amazing the clarity and insight you can receive.

Pause, and take a breath. As you give your body the chance to communicate with you.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I trust the intelligence of my body”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

Years ago, a client came to see me with sciatica.

She could barely move and had been in bed for a week.

She said it had all started with a cold and then she had sciatica.

It turned out that she had been continuously ignoring her body’s request for some rest.

She had the cold, and she didn’t rest, she carried on working as much as she did before.

This was a repeating pattern in her life.

She’d get a cold, work through it and then end up in bed with sciatica.

It was like the only way her body could get her to stop was to literally take her off her legs and lay her up for a week or two with sciatica.

Perhaps your body does something similar?

Before your body needs to take such drastic action, get into the habit of listening for, and tuning into her messages.

Nourish Your Body

Nourish Your Body

Today you’re being reminded to deeply nourish your physical body.

There can be many reasons that women disconnect from their physical bodies.

Thinking that they’re not good enough as they don’t meet the certain criteria of someone else’s idea of beauty.

Unhealed physical or emotional abuse that shuts them away from truly feeling or even being present in their own body, as it’s too painful.

Illness and pain that can lead to frustration and anger towards the physical body.

And many, many more reasons.

Yet, when was the last time that you asked your body what it needs, as in really needs, and not just what you think you should do for your body.

Have you ever considered if and when you nourish your body, and when you punish your body too?

Are you comfortable with trusting your body?

Do you feel safe in your body?

How would your experience of life be if you trusted, loved and nurtured your own body?

If you accepted your body just as it is right now in this very moment.

If you nourished it deeply by giving it what it needs to thrive to the best of its ability.

How would your relationship with yourself and others change if you cherished yourself, treated yourself and made time for yourself the way you would your best friend or loved one?

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you connect to your physical body.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to make time for yourself to connect with and nourish your physical body.

Look in the mirror and notice how you talk about yourself.

How could you be more loving and kind to yourself?

Massage your own hands, legs or feet and notice how you feel as your touch your own body?

Is it comfortable, and do you offer yourself love and care through your touch, or do you feel disconnected from your inherent beauty, strength and love?

Pause, and take a breath. As you reconnect to your physical body.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I pay attention to the needs of my body”

Often when people think about nourishing their own body they may think of massages and spa days, or bubble baths with candles.

These are gorgeous things to do, if you enjoy them.

But nourishing your body can look really unsexy too.

Nourishing your body includes going to the Dr’s to get a health concern checked out, it can be a routine trip to the dentist or to the optician.

Nourishing your body can be drinking more water, swapping out a cup of coffee or a sugar-coated snack for something supportive of your body.

It can be remembering to breath deeply, or gently moving your body.

It can be about getting your heart pumping or having a nap.

It can be receiving more pleasure.

Nourishing your body looks like different things on different days.

Your adventure is to learn to read the signs from your body, to know what you need and when, and then make the choice to honour and nourish your physical self..

Exceed Your Expectations

Exceed Your Expectations

Today you’re being reminded to exceed your expectations.

Expect more from yourself.

Know that you can do hard things and you are more resilient than you think.

It’s time to stretch your wings and allow yourself to soar.

To soar beyond what you ever thought was possible for you and your life.

Step out of your comfort zone and far beyond the gaze of those who’d prefer to keep you small.

Push any fears of inadequacy, not being worthy, or good enough out of the way.

They are absolutely not true.

These are the fears that other people have projected onto you, it’s time to set them down and move on.

You are more capable than you know.

Believe in yourself.

Cheer yourself on.

Exceed your own expectations.

And stay in your own lane, focusing on things that are important to you.

Don’t be put off, compare or try and compete with those around you.

Your path is yours alone.

Make big plans for the future, then dream even bigger.

One step in front of the other, keep moving forward, and get ready to soar.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you get ready to exceed your expectations.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to think about your dreams and desires.

Can you dream bigger?

What is it that you really, truly desire, can you name and claim it, or does it make your stomach flutter?

Can you take bolder action?

Have you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone, do you keep showing up and trying again?

Make sure that you’re not toning down your dreams and actions because you worry what others may think.

Ask yourself where you can think bigger, dream wilder and take bolder action.

Pause, and take a breath. As you allow yourself to exceed your expectations.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I am strong, confident and capable”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

Dream big and plan small.

One of the biggest mistakes that I see people make is they are put off and give up when things don’t go the way they plan.

The secret to exceeding your expectations and moving towards your dreams quicker than you thought possible is to motivate yourself with a big dream and then take small, sometimes very small steps towards it.

People can feel disheartened if they don’t achieve the big actions, but they are easier to avoid or postpone, as they can feel overwhelming or scary.

And that’s okay, just break them down into smaller actions.

One foot in front of the other may not sound sexy, but it gets you there much quicker than taking no steps at all.

And don’t forget to focus on the actions you can take not on the outcome you desire. You can control your actions, but you can’t control the outcomes.

Reclaim Your Power

Reclaim Your Power

Today is reminding you to reclaim your power.

Step into your power and show up fully.

Outer experiences of life will always be varied.

Material possessions may come and go, structures in society may support you or be designed to actively do the opposite. You may have been born into a culture that celebrates you, or one that doesn’t honour your value.

No matter what your external circumstances, connect with and feel into your inner power.

This inner power cannot be taken away from you.

You may feel disconnected from it, but it’s still there burning brightly for you.

Reclaim this power.

People may have tried to take it away from you, or convince you that you don’t have any, but it’s just not true.

Your power is within you.

If you think you won’t be liked, or will be rejected, or told that you’re ‘too much’ for standing in your power, don’t let it stop you.

There will always be someone who doesn’t want you to live your full potential, who will tell you that you’re ‘too much’, but that’s their own limiting beliefs, and not really anything to do with you.

And although it may hurt, you aren’t here to live your life for them, you are here to live your life for you.

Show up for yourself.

Accept your power, step into it, and own it.

Allow yourself to move towards your highest potential.

It may feel scary, unnatural or uncomfortable, but give yourself a chance.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you allow yourself to connect with your internal power.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to bring attention to all the beliefs that prevent you from connecting with, and owning, your power.

Whose voice do you hear telling you that you can’t, you shouldn’t, or that you’re not allowed.

Who is it you keep part of yourself small for?

On separate pieces of paper, write down each of the beliefs you have that stop you from fully embodying your power.

One by one, write over them with a new, positive and affirming belief – literally covering the old belief and re-writing your own stories.

Then somewhere safe and suitable, burn each piece of paper, and feel the old belief being burnt away, released, and replaced with and transformed into your new belief.

Pause, and take a breath. As you give yourself permission to explore your power.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I step into my power with increasing confidence”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy reclaiming your power as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

We often have a less than healthy relationship to power, as we can see it as something that corrupts, and / or has power over others.

But that is just one expression of power.

Power is a fundamental human experience.

Everything in your life is about power. The words you use, the choices you make and how you show up and express yourself in the world.

Power isn’t ‘good’ or ‘bad’ it’s just a way of understanding your own energy and what influences you, drives you and stops you in your tracks.

It’s a fascinating way to explore how you relate to the world around you and how you have the literal power to create your own world.

Money, relationships, jobs, habits are all expressions of how you relate to power.

When you think about power think about what it is in life that gives you power and makes you feel empowered, and where you feel your power being drained away, leaving you power-less.

If we look at the examples above, the first one I mentioned was money. So, think about what it is about money that empowers you, is it having it, earning a particular sum of it, having more than you need.

And then if you think about how it may drain your power, maybe it’s about not having enough, or limiting beliefs you have about it , it could be about your ability to have, manage, save and handle it.

It’s all about power.

Become curious about power.

Notice what empowers you and what drains you, and use it as information to make changes in your life that support you.

Give Yourself Some Grace

Give Yourself Some Grace

Today is reminding you to give yourself some grace.

It’s all too easy to move through life and find that events, conversations and achievements have been forgotten or taken for granted.

So, to address this, in my Re-Enchant Your Life community, each Sunday we end the week with some GRACE.

GRACE being an acronym for Grounding, Recognising, Appreciating, Centring and then finally Embodying.

We spend the most attention on the Recognising. Recognising all that you have done and achieved, completed or brought to a close, during the week.

This 15-minute practice reminds us of the importance of pausing and recognising all of the things we do, achieve, and bring into our experience.

All the things that we have made happen, and have to be grateful for.

All the things we consciously choose not do, as consciously choosing not to do something is as powerful as choosing to do something.

It’s so simple yet such a powerful practice.

This recognition and gratitude brings in more happiness, peace, contentment, satisfaction and of course grace.

No matter the twists and turns, the wrong starts, and the unexpected events that show up in your life, whether you feel confident and at ease or unsure and on edge, recognising the things that you can feel grateful for, calms your spirit and taps you into your resilience and ability to transform.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you allow grace and some gratitude to flood your body.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to recognise all that you have done and achieved over the last seven days and appreciate yourself for having done all of them.

Think of those things you’ve completed, the items checked off your to-do list; the mundane and the exceptional.

Recognise all the times that you said ‘Yes’ to yourself. The times you stopped when you were tired or made a choice that nourished and supported you.

Think of all the acts of kindness you’ve shown others, it could be as simple as a smile or doing someone a favour.

Think of those smiles or favours that you have received. Although someone else did this for, or to you, you are the kind of person that they wanted to smile at, or help, so recognise the part you played in that interaction.

Pause, and take a breath. As you give yourself permission to recognise all that you do.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I recognise myself and all that I do”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy feeling more grace as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

When I first created the GRACE practice, it was another acronym that was ‘given’ to me, another acronym that just appeared, if you’ve listened to this podcast for a while, you’ll know about me and acronyms lol

Anyway… I wanted to create a practice that we could do at the end of the week so that people to reset their energy and start the new week fresh, aligned and on-purpose, rather than taking the baggage of the previous week with them.

And as I was writing down some of the activities it needed to include, the main one being to RECOGNISE all that they had done and achieved during the week. The big things, the everyday things, the things that took a lot of time and energy and things they did without even noticing.

Because people often notice what they haven’t done by the end of the week, they can berate themselves for the things that were still on their to-do list, but they often didn’t take the time to recognise all that they had actually done.

So, as I was writing it down, I heard the word GRACE and knew I’d just been given another acronym.

At first, I didn’t want the word, it triggered religious imagery. But my acronyms are persistent, and as I sat with the word, I realised just how perfect it was for my intention for the practice.

It was about a time to show ourselves more kindness, so that we could move through our lives with more ease – literal grace.

GRACE has become a powerful tool and practice in our community, and it all starts with grounding into yourself so that you can recognise yourself and all that you do, what are you recognising about yourself right now?
