Allow Yourself to Change

Allow Yourself to Change

Listen. Because listening’s important:

Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.

Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.

Today you’re being reminded to allow yourself to change.

It’s more than okay to allow yourself to change and then change again, and then change again and then again…

Transformation is the very essence of life.

Things come and go.

They are created and destroyed.

We are intimately woven into the natural cycles of death and rebirth, of growth and decay, and of expansion and contraction.

Everything changes.

Change isn’t a process that happens once and then everything is complete and perfect.

It’s a process of continuous unfolding, as you transform, and come back to yourself time and again and again.

Each time you go through this process of change you experience a truer, more aligned, joyful expression of your deepest truth.

With this process of transformation remember that it’s absolutely okay to change, and this included the ability to change your mind about something, about anything, about everything.

Just because you committed to one course of action, or you held a certain belief, doesn’t mean you have to be rigid with it, it’s okay to change your mind and your plans, and then change them again.

In this very moment, just pause, and take a breath. As you embrace change.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to give yourself permission to change.

What have you been putting off changing because you feel it’s too soon since you last changed it, to change it again?

Check in with your intuition and your inner knowing – is the change aligned with your truth, does it feel expansive?

Are you wanting to make this change from a place of deep inner confidence or a place of fear?

If this change feels aligned for you, then it’s time to make it happen.

Pause, and take a breath. As you make the changes you need.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I allow myself to transform into the woman I’m meant to be”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy your journey of transformation as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

Transformation is the very essence of life.

Imagine a tiny seed, held deep in the soil, cosy and safe in its hard shell.

Then one day it has a desire for change.

It doesn’t know why but it’s been called to break out of its everyday norm, its routine comfort and break its shell.

As it does so, it finds itself immersed in the darkness and the cold dampness of the soil around it. It’s different from everything its ever known.

It’s uncomfortable, and yet it chooses to keep going.

Its bravery takes it forward through the darkness, the cold dampness of the soil and then one day it breaks through the soil into the daylight and everything changes once again. It’s now bright, colourful and new.

It continues to grow and grow, moving towards the warmth and light of the sun.

It continues to grow until it blooms into the beautiful flower that it’s been designed to be.

Each stage of its transformation took bravery and courage.

Each stage of the transformation created discomfort.

Each stage asked, what was once a tiny seed, to keep going, to be brave, and to step into the unknown.

Life asks you to do the same thing.

It asks you to change, to step into the unknown, again and again. To go through your own journey of transformation, so that you can bloom into the magnificent woman that you are designed to be.

You Are Not Broken

You Are Not Broken

Today you’re being reminded that you are not broken.

Stop trying to fix yourself.

Instead of trying to fix yourself, learn to take care of yourself.

You’re not broken.

You’re a whole and divine holy being.

You don’t need fixing you just need to take care of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually.

You need to prioritise yourself, set strong boundaries and do the things that you know you need to do.

Taking care of yourself is more than just having a bubble bath or a spa day, it’s making sure that you set healthy and supportive routines and habits for you, so that you create an environment in which you feel safe and nourished, so that you can thrive.

Self-care isn’t always sexy, it’s often mundane and routine, but these are the foundations of your experience of life.

In this very moment, just pause, and take a breath. As you prioritise your needs.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to stop thinking that you need fixing and reconnect with your inherent wholeness.

Remind yourself of who you really are, deep within you.

Then ask yourself what you need to stop doing, or start doing, to ensure that you are nourished and nurtured emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Then take that action.

Pause, and take a breath. As you remember your divine wholeness.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I am a whole and holy being”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy embracing your wholeness on Your SHEro’s Journey!

It’s easy to think we’re broken in a world that’s always telling us how we can get better, improve ourselves and become their idea of successful.

We only think we’re broken when we compare ourselves to other people’s standards and expectations.

You don’t need fixing; you need to remember who you are.

You don’t need to do more things, often it’s the opposite, you need to slow down and reconnect with yourself.

You need to remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be.

It’s time to stop trying to please the people, and the world, around you, so you can remember what you really want from life.

Of course, we want to be the best version of ourselves, but that doesn’t mean we’re broken or need fixing. We just need to remove the layers of expectations, judgements and ‘should’s’ that have been built up throughout our lives, so that we can reconnect to our wholeness within.

It’s about cutting through the noise to find your own sense of peace.

Peace with being the perfectly, imperfect woman that you are.

Don’t Settle

Don’t Settle

Today you’re being reminded not to settle.

You’re not here to settle.

You’re not designed for mediocracy, half-hearted decisions, or things that make you feel less than…

Your spirit is not here to be dulled.

Your spirit wants to feel fully alive.

You’re here for adventure, for joy, for passion, for laughter, friendship, deep connection and to play.

You’re here to learn, make mistakes and try again.

You’re here to be brave, to be bold and live with wild abandon.

You’re here to express all of yourself, not just the pretty and acceptable parts, but all of you – your messy, colourful, changeable, deep feeling, wild, joyous creative self.

Anything less is a disservice to you.

It’s a disservice to the world we live in.

We need all of you.

We need you and the magic that only you can weave in the world, and only you can weave it because no one else is you.

Show up and do so fully!

In this very moment, just pause, and take a breath. As you say a loud, proud and unapologetic ‘yes’ to all of yourself.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to embrace all of yourself.

Notice where you’ve been settling for less than you truly desire.

Ask yourself why you’ve been allowing your spirit to be dulled?

Then do what you have to, to make yourself feel alive once more.

What parts of yourself do you need to reclaim, to give voice to, to express?

What’s waiting to be freed so that you can feel fulfilled and alive?

Pause, and take a breath. As you allow yourself to fully express your inner spirit.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I say ‘yes’ to myself and the unique magic I bring to the world”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

Often it can be expected, or even seen as virtuous when you prioritise other people over yourself.

When you make other people’s happiness, comfort and dreams a priority over your own.

Through much of my life it was easy for me to step into the role of care-giver, the role of nurturer, the cheer-leader, the person that everyone else could rely on.

I lost a sense of what was important to me.

It’s not that I felt like a martyr, not by any means, but weeks turned into months, and they then turned into years, and I was still prioritising what other people needed, and wasn’t really focused on what I truly, deeply wanted from life.

I still did lots of what I wanted to do, I wasn’t unhappy, but I was constantly searching for something that I could never find the answer to.

Reading books, learning, taking courses, doing more personal development, reading more books, the search went on and on, but I didn’t really know or actually take the time to get clear on what I was searching for.

I got my wakeup call through a relationship, in the most loving and positive way.

I got clear on what it was that I wanted to do, and stopped doing what I thought I should and what had been expected of me.

I began showing up fully and dedicated myself to being me, promising myself I wouldn’t settle for ‘less than’ again.

Don’t get me wrong I have a 5-year-old boy, he absolutely gets to be the focus of much of my time, I adore him and his dad, but I also get to be me too, fully and without compromising what truly matters to me.

Choose You

Choose You

Today you’re being reminded to choose you.

As you walk Your SHEro’s Journey and choose the woman that you want to become over all other things, it will cost you friendships, comfort, identities and life as you know it.

Choose your journey and yourself anyway.

As you connect more deeply with your truth and how you want to show up in the world, you begin to notice the places, habits and possibly even people that no longer align with the life that you want to create.

You can no longer pretend that things are okay, when actually they’re not.

As you get clearer on what’s important to you, it becomes increasingly apparent what no longer is.

As your actions begin to reflect who you’re becoming, it soon becomes clear which of the people in your life support, celebrate and want the best for you, and which do not.

Accept that as you change and grow there will be loss.

A loss of your old identity, a loss of old habits and behaviours, a loss of outdated patterns and beliefs. But this can also be a loss, or less time with, certain people too.

And whilst loss of any kind is uncomfortable, it’s still important to choose You and who you’re becoming.

In this very moment, pause, and take a breath. As you choose you.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to choose you.

Notice what no longer aligns with who you’re becoming and decide what you need to do to stay committed to yourself.

Some things you may be able to stop doing, outsource, or do differently.

For other things you may need support to change.

Get clear on whether you need to limit your time with certain activities, behaviours or people, or remove them completely.

Do what you need to do to choose You and the woman you’re becoming.

If it doesn’t fully support you and your choices, if it doesn’t add to your experience of life. If it no longer aligns with your values, do you really still want it around?

Pause, and take a breath. As you commit to the woman you’re becoming.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I choose me!”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy choosing You, as you walk Your SHEro’s Journey!

It’s hard to think we grow out of people, friendships, and communities, especially if these people and places have been part of our lives for a long time.

You can feel we owe them something, you can feel that it’s not right to walk away from something that has been part of your life for so long, maybe even since childhood.

You may excuse people’s behaviour, justify why they no longer ask you how you are, tell yourself it will be better in time.

But there comes a time when you have to be true to you.

To prioritise your needs, your dreams and your own vision of the future.

You can’t be half in and half out of any relationship, it’s not fair on you and it’s not fair on them.

It becomes an energy drain and leads to frustration and resentment from both sides.

I once heard someone say the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s apathy. And I think there’s a great truth in that.

If you feel apathy towards any people you spend your time with, or feel apathy in return from people you consider friends, it’s time to reassess those relationships.

It’s time to either work on the relationship, or let it go.

Either way it’s time to be intentional, as you choose what’s best for you.

Don’t Let Judgement Define You

Don’t Let Judgement Define You

Today you’re being reminded to not let the judgements of others define you.

Accept that people are going to judge you, but you don’t have to let their judgement define you.

The more you commit to Your SHEro’s Journey the more you’ll find yourself making choices that prioritise you and your needs, and these choices may go against what other people expect of you and from you.

Perhaps you’ll do things that break from the expectations of your family or those of society.

Maybe you’ll prioritise your own experiences and growth over other people’s comfort.

Maybe you’ll learn to express a side of you that you have not shown before and this may make other people uncomfortable.

Do it anyway.

People are going to judge you.

Do it anyway.

You may trigger other people who are invested in you staying the same.

They may not like the changes you choose as it goes against their world view or upsets their routines.

Do it anyway.

People may judge you as a way of trying to control or manipulate your behaviour and choices.

They may judge you because they don’t understand your choices.

They may judge you because they need to do much of their own inner work.

They may judge you because they need to begin their own SHEro’s Journey but have yet to commit to it.

Do it anyway.

People will judge your choices, and the reasons they do are their reasons and not a reflection of who you are.

Do not let the judgements of others define who you are or how you think about yourself.

In this very moment, pause, and take a breath. As you let go of other people’s judgements.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to notice where you’ve been holding back because of the expectation of, or the actual judgements of others.

Consider what it is that you need so that you can move forward in alignment with your truth.

Maybe it’s nurturing more resilience and courage within yourself.

Perhaps the guidance of a trusted friend, mentor or coach.

Perhaps you need to have a conversation with the person to discuss choices, feelings and your on-going relationship.

Pause, and take a breath. As you confidently and unapologetically live your life.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I move forward with confidence”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy walking confidently along Your SHEro’s Journey!

One of the biggest lessons and challenges that I’ve had to overcome through the years is learning that I get to own my identity and decide what is acceptable to me, not anyone else.

When I was child, I was painfully shy and just wanted to fit in, or rather not stand out.

I wanted to shrink and hide most of the time.

The imagined judgements of others stopped me from doing so much and taking so many opportunities, and I say imagined, as I never actually spoke to whoever ‘they’ were and asked them to clarify their judgements.

Much later in life I realised that I couldn’t prevent people from judging me, and that I may as well accept that it was part of life and move on and do my own thing anyway.

If I was going to be judged, I may as well be judged for being me, as let’s face it, I was never going to make everybody happy, so I may as well show up in a way that makes me happy – as the nature loving, tree obsessed, witchy, priestess, optimist that I am!

Your Dreams Are Yours

Your Dreams Are Yours

Today you’re being reminded to embrace your dreams.

They are your dreams.

They have been given to you.

You’ve dreamt them, been inspired by them, you know them to be yours.

Your dreams have been given to you because you have the ability to make them a reality. To bring them to life in this world.

It doesn’t mean that it will be easy, but it will be possible.

You may have to push yourself out of your comfort zone, learn new skills, or ask for help, but I have no doubt you can make them happen.

When other people don’t understand your dreams and vision for your life, the future and the world that you want to live in, don’t worry they’re not meant to, it’s not their dream, it was given to you.

They’ve been given their own dreams, it’s up to them if they follow theirs.

Don’t allow other people’s negative thoughts, fears and limiting patterns to be projected onto your own dreams.

Of course, listen to trusted advice, seek guidance and support. But be choosey of who you listen to. You do not have to listen to everyone.

Listen to the advice of people who share your values, who you admire, who have walked the path before you, who are where you want to go.

Focus on your dreams, nurture your dreams, and enjoy your dreams, they are yours to enjoy and dance with.

In this very moment, pause, and take a breath. As you reconnect with your deepest dreams and desires.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to reconnect with your dreams.

Remind yourself of why they’re important to you.

What they will give to you and how this will ripple out and improve the quality of the relationships you have with your friends and family. How you creating your dreams does more than just benefit your life.

Reflect on how your own dreams can have a positive ripple effect on the people you meet, your communities and the world around you.

Focus on how your dreams can improve your life, but also the lives of others.

Connect with how your dreams will allow you to support, lift and inspire yourself and others.

Remember why this dream is important to you and why it has been given to you.

Pause, and take a breath. As you revel in your own dream.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I commit to my dreams”

I once heard someone say that ‘family were the final frontier’.

And I loved that phrase.

Often when we have a dream, we want to share it with our family and friends, we’re excited to share our ideas with the people we care about.

We look to them to share our enthusiasm and tell us it’s a great idea, we want them to believe in us.

But often we don’t get the response we wanted.

Instead of being celebrated or cheered on, many people are met with cynicism and doubt.

Family members telling you why it won’t work, or why someone they knew tried it and failed.

Now whilst this might be coming from a place of love and trying to protect you, it’s not helpful to you.

Instead of trying to get the approval of your family, or trying to convince them it’s a good idea, keep your dreams to yourself and only share them with people who you know will really support you in the beginning.

Then once your dream is more established you can share it with more people.

As once you have really rooted into your dream, and overcome your own initial fears and doubts, when other people try and convince you it’s a bad idea or not worth the trouble, you’ll have already rooted yourself into your dream and you’ll believe in yourself and your dream enough to overcome the doubts and fears of other people.

If you are at the early stage of your dream and moving through the ‘how’s’ of how you’ll make it happen, when someone else doubts it too, it will be much easier for you to give up.

But when you sink deep and root firmly in your dreams, only then can you foster the strength and resilience to keep going.

So maybe you should make your family the final frontier?
