Revel In Your Pleasure

Revel In Your Pleasure

Listen. Because listening’s important:

Hi and welcome to the Re-Enchant Your Life reminder.

Your sacred pause in the day where you’re encouraged to take a moment to stop and tune into your inner wisdom and become present, so that you can reconnect to your personal power and confidently embrace who you’re becoming, as you Re-Enchant Your life and create the change you truly desire.

Today you’re being reminded to do something pleasurable that makes you smile and laugh.

To do something just for the fun of it.

We can often see fun as something frivolous or childish, but it’s an essential part of being you.

Allow yourself to be spontaneous and free.

Skip, laugh, sing, do something just because it makes you smile.

Connect with your senses, follow what brings you joy and pleasure.

Feel excited about all of the possibilities that are available to you.

Change your mind.

You’re not being flaky or high maintenance, you’ve simply changed your mind

Some days something feels good, the next it doesn’t and that’s okay

Recognise the wisdom in changing course. Of following your heart, your passions and your pleasure.

Yes, pleasure.

Pleasure is incredibly important for a woman.

Women are designed for pleasure.

Your body is designed for pleasure.

Remind yourself of what it’s like to embody your sensual side.

To use and embrace all of your senses.

To explore the world through your taste, touch, sight, sound and smell.

Make yourself giggle with delight as you reawaken all of your senses.

Pay more attention to everything around you and notice how it makes you feel.

Make today about you and exploring the world with fresh eyes, and awakened senses

In this very moment, just stop, pause and take a breath, as you reconnect to your pleasure.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to do something with more awareness of your senses, for example, eat with awareness, or dress with awareness

Choose fabrics that feel gorgeous against your skin, choose foods that make your mouth tingle with delight.

Notice how you feel, do you embrace exploring your senses, or do you feel silly or even embarrassed about it?

As you connect to more of your pleasure, pay attention to how you show up for yourself and for others, when you allow yourself to be playful and your sensual side to lead.

Pause and take a breath, as you reconnect to your pleasure.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I am a passionate woman, who honours her desires”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy exploring your senses!

I hate clothes shopping!

I always have.

I’ve never known what colour or style suits me.

I go snow blind as soon as I walk into a clothes shop.

I’m not sure where this has come from, but I’ve never enjoyed it.

I’ve always wanted to love clothes shopping, to be able to buy clothes that fitted well and that I felt confident in, but instead I loathed it.

My body has always had curves, and curves in a way that has meant that my bum has always been ‘too big’ compared with my waist, so finding trousers that don’t ridiculously gape at the back is a nuisance, my legs seem to be in between lengths lol… I could go on… but I’m sure you get the picture…

I think I missed the part of being a teenager where you learn how to dress and find what suits you.

And I then I found myself on the other side of 40, still wondering what clothes I should buy!

So, I booked a consult with a stylist who tells you what colours you look best in and what styles work for you.

It was such fun! If you haven’t done it before, I highly recommend it!

And if you know colours and are curious… I’m ‘Summer’ and need to wear cool colours, like blues, dark green and burgundy.

But, knowing what to wear and buying it are two completely different things!

So I booked the same woman to go personal shopping, and oh my… what a totally different experience!

She loved shopping and knew exactly what to look for that would suit me.

She picked things for me that I wouldn’t have even looked at.

I kept shaking my head… oh no… I wouldn’t wear that.

Jumpsuits

Animal print dresses

And even white trousers!?!

It’s fair to say, none of these items I would’ve bought without her help.

And yet all of which I actually now love!

In fact, I’m recording this in my white trousers – and I feel great! And brave as I have a 5 year old and it’s muddy outside haha

But the joy and delight of having clothes that fit, and suit me, and knowing how to accessorise them is a joy and dare I say it shopping is almost a pleasure!

Communicate Clearly

Communicate Clearly

Today you are being called to clearly communicate and express your truth and what you need.

But to do this, you first need to pay attention to the energy that you’ve been putting out into the world.

Have your thoughts, actions, words, and energy been in alignment with what’s true for you?

Have you been clear on your boundaries?

Do you know what it is that you need?

Have you been saying ‘No’, to those things that dampen your spirit, or saying ‘Yes’, to those things you desire, or move you nearer to your dreams and desires?

Don’t be afraid to say ‘No’, and don’t be afraid to say ‘Yes’.

Clearly express what you mean and what you need.

Your energy doesn’t lie, people feel it when you say ‘Yes’ and mean ‘No’, and vice versa.

You’re not saving someone’s feelings but hiding the truth,

You’re not being unkind when you say ‘No’ because it’s not convenient for you.

Suppressing your truth creates miscommunication, confusion and can even lead to resentment from both you and the other people involved.

Say ‘No’.

No apology, no explanation needed. Let go of feelings of should or having to.

Say ‘Yes’.

Embrace what you do want, instead of allowing out-dated or limiting beliefs to tell you that you can’t or you shouldn’t.

Express yourself clearly and authentically.

Connect with your values, desires, and passions, and then have the conversations, start your creative project, spend time with friends, do whatever feels aligned for you.

In this very moment, just stop and pause, take a breath, as you reconnect to your voice.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Think of one conversation that you’ve been putting off.

Remind yourself of why you need to have the conversation.

Anchor into the truth of your values, your energy, and what it means to live a life that aligns with your truth.

Unspoken words and unmet needs take up a huge amount of your time and energy.

Have the conversation and free up that energy.

It may not be easy, but it will be done, freeing you up to move on with clarity and aligned purpose.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I confidently express my truth”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy expressing your truth!

One of my clients, let’s call her Mary, came to see me and told me that she had really severe IBS, so much so that it was difficult for her to leave the house. Or if she did leave, she’d need to know where the nearest toilet was.

As you can imagine this limited what she could do.

As soon as she started talking to me about her symptoms, I knew there was more going on than she was telling me.

I asked about her life, and she gave me a shopping list of the ‘nice’ things she had. Good childhood, good education, nice house, beautiful family etc

But she just didn’t seem happy to me.

When I asked a few more questions, she burst into tears.

She told me that on the outside she had everything she was told she needed. But inside she was so miserable she just wanted to run away.

She felt guilty about wanting anything else in life, as she had what so many people longed for.

But due to pressures from her family growing up, because her family had paid for her to get a good education, she said she felt in debt to them to do what they wanted, so she never pursued her own dreams.

And now after all these years, she had lost connection with her dreams and passions, and was so used to putting everyone else first that she never gave herself much of a second thought.

And as I have come to see in my practice over the years, once you clear the emotional issues, and reconnect someone to their truth, the physical symptoms often just slip away.

The outcome of Mary re-connecting to her truth and speaking up was a happier and more fulfilled her, she no longer had the symptoms of IBS, and because she was happier and could show up more fully, all her relationships become better and stronger too, including her own family becoming happier.

Keep Going

Keep Going

Today you’re being reminded to believe in yourself, and to believe in your dreams and vision for your life.

As you walk your SHEro’s Journey you will come across obstacles, it will feel hard, you may question your choices, but keep going.

Focus on your destination.

The goal and dream that you’re moving towards.

Reconnect to what you want to achieve and more importantly, the ‘why’ of your desire to achieve it.

Believe in yourself.

Now is not the time to give up.

No matter how slow you must move, keep moving.

Every step, no matter how small moves you closer to where it is you want to be.

It doesn’t matter if you stumble or take three steps forward and two steps back.

See it as part of the journey, a dance of your own making, rather than a failure of any kind.

Each stumble, fall or misstep teaches you more about yourself and strengthens your inner resolve.

Keep moving.

You know it will be worth it. And the obstacles will become a distant memory, maybe even a funny story that you share.

In this very moment, just pause and take a breath, as you commit to moving forward.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to reconnect with the ‘why’ behind your dreams and desires.

To remember what it was that made you want to make the changes that you committed to.

Was it to support your values and/or to bring a dream into reality?

Spend some time really anchoring into your why, as it will strengthen your resolve and your ability to overcome any obstacles you may encounter.

Pause, and take a breath. As you reconnect to your why.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I believe in myself and keep moving forward”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

Sometimes all that’s important is just putting one foot in front of the other.

When I was at university, a friend and I decided that we would walk the famous Coast to Coast walk of England. You walk from one side of England to the other.

It sounds a bit grand, but you only walk the narrowest point, and the distance was only around 190 miles.

I say ‘only’, because for a width of a country, that’s actually quite small, but for someone that hadn’t really done much walking, that was actually quite a feat to set out on, especially for a first long distance walk. I’d not walked more than 10 miles in a day before that.

And in our wisdom we decided to do the route the opposite way that it had been designed.

Being new to walking long distances we thought we’d start with the moorlands and then be fit for the mountains haha

What we hadn’t realised was, that doing it that way meant we had the weather in our face for most of the time, and being the North of England, that meant quite a bit of wind and rain.

So, some days, all I could do to keep climbing the hills, crossing rivers, and moving past getting stuck in peat marshes, was just focus on the next step.

Reminding myself that no matter how small the next step, it was one step closer to completing our challenge.

So, my advice… The walk is incredible, you see so much amazing landscape, but follow the tried and tested path, the people that came before me knew what they were doing much better than I did hahaha

Be Generous

Be Generous

Today you’re being asked to be generous.

To be generous in your thoughts, actions and/or resources.

What could you do for someone else that they would really appreciate?

What could you do that would really brighten someone else’s day?

To show that you hear them, that you see them and that you value them.

How could you show your appreciation for someone else, to thank them for all that they bring to your life, your community, the wider world.

You could make a bold gesture, or perhaps something anonymous.

Listen to what feels like the perfect thing for you to do.

Give without expectation.

Expect nothing in return.

Give for the joy of giving.

Feel into your own inner sense of abundance and give from that place.

Be generous. Be kind. Be thoughtful.

Right now, just take a moment to stop and pause, to take a breath, as you as think about what would feel fun to pay forward.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to do something for someone else.

Do something just for the joy of brightening someone else’s day.

What could you do to make someone smile?

What could you do to make their day just a little easier?

What could you do to let someone know that you’re thinking about them, so they know that someone cares?

Pause, and take a breath. As you decide what you will do.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I give with a grateful heart”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

Being generous is something that’s important to me.

Whether it’s with my time, resources, attention or belief around a person’s intent.

You never truly know what’s going on for someone, or what they’re really experiencing.

You never know when a small act of kindness, or generosity will mean a huge thing to someone, and how it could turn around their day, their view of the world, or even their life.

At school one of my favourite subjects was art.

And my Art teacher was incredibly generous with her time and resources with me.

I grew up in a tiny fishing village on the coast of Cornwall, and my Teacher introduced me to books about social issues and cultures that I just wasn’t aware of back then.

Her generosity, going above what was expected of her as an art teacher, really shaped how I saw the world, and fuelled my love of people, and my desire to really understand what goes on behind the mask we wear and the stories we tell ourselves and each other, both as people and as cultures.

Her lessons taught me so much more than what it meant to become an artist or to understand art, she taught me about people.

She ignited a curiosity and a passion in me that still after all these years, well decades,  burns strong.

What could you ignite in someone else’s life?

Own Your Wisdom

Own Your Wisdom

Today you’re being reminded to celebrate your wisdom.

Not wisdom that comes from the kind of knowledge that you get from education, but the wisdom you have from showing up and experiencing life.

The wisdom that resonates deep in your blood and bone.

The wisdom that you can’t explain, but you just instinctively feel and know.

Celebrate your ability to tap into unknown forces.

Celebrate your ability to trust something bigger and greater than yourself.

Celebrate your ability to let go of the need to know and control everything.

Wisdom isn’t something that comes only with age, it isn’t something that others bestow upon you, it isn’t about knowing everything.

Wisdom is in knowing yourself and understanding the messages from your body and the world around you. It’s understanding your own rhythms and how they interact with the cycles that flow around you and within you.

Wisdom is about being yourself, celebrating yourself, and understanding that you have to be true to you.

Wisdom is knowing that you don’t have all the answers, and knowing how to ask the right questions.

In this very moment, just stop. Pause and take a breath, as you honour your own inner wisdom.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Be really honest about what you know and what you don’t know.

Get clear about what you know to be true.

Be honest about how you can trust yourself more, rather than looking outside of yourself for the answers.

Take some time to remember all the times when you instinctively knew something to be true, and you were right.

All the times you trusted your intuition and things worked out just how they needed to.

It’s time to sink into the beauty of your own wisdom

Pause, and take a breath. As you trust in the wisdom of yourself.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I give myself permission to honour my wisdom”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen.

In the meantime, enjoy celebrating your wisdom!

Since I was a child I was always told that I was wise for my years.

This continued through childhood and into my 20’s.

When I started my kinesiology practice in 2000, I was in my early 20’s and was constantly being told by my clients that I was so young to have so much wisdom.

This annoyed me a bit and I made me look forward to getting old.

I wanted to be old, because I then thought I would be allowed to own my wisdom. I could be wise and be old enough.

I’m not sure what qualified as ‘old’, but I wanted to get there, so I could feel justified in being this idea of ‘wise’ that other people recognised in me.

What’s funny to me now is, no one was saying I couldn’t be wise, I just wasn’t owning my own wisdom.

The people who said I was ‘young to be so wise’, still came back to see me. They recommended me to their friends and family, and had the results they wanted.

They didn’t care about my biological age. I could solve their problems for them, no matter what age I was.

It was just me who wasn’t stepping into my own wisdom.

Now I’m in my early 40’s no one says I’m too young lol, and yet I still love getting older, because with each day I get to practice owning a bit more of my truth, deepening into my own wisdom and becoming a more fully expressed version of myself.

Things Won’t Always Be Perfect

Things Won’t Always Be Perfect

Today you’re being reminded that being perfect is not the main goal of life.

Especially when perfectionism can stop you from having a go, from showing up, and trying new things.

The fear of not being perfect can strangle your ideas, your goals, and dreams.

It can suffocate your creative spirit.

Dim your intuition.

Take the sparkle and joy out of your life and replace it with fear and procrastination.

It’s time to let go of the idea of perfection and just have a go.

Allow yourself to let go and let things get wild and messy.

Enjoy the unfolding process of creation in all areas of your life.

Let everything have its own time, and unfold in its own unique and unpredictable way.

Embrace the process, the joy, the optimism, the space for learning and refining.

Let go of judgement, criticism and second guessing, and replace them with love, curiosity and an open heart.

In this very moment, just take a moment to stop and pause, to take a breath, as you release the need to be perfect.

Today’s SHEro Action:

Today’s SHEro action is to do something you know won’t be easy for you.

Better still, try something that you know you will ‘fail’ at, or you won’t be able to do or complete.

Push yourself out of your comfort zone and embrace the expansive feelings of growth and improvement, as you release the constriction of perfection.

Pause, and take a breath. As you embrace the possibilities of expansion.

Today’s Affirmation:

“I approach life with an open heart and curiosity”

I’ll see you tomorrow for your daily reminder to Re-Enchant Your Life with me, Rebecca-Anuwen,

In the meantime, enjoy trying new things!

The fear of not being perfect can have a very real and stifling impact on your life.

When I was younger, much younger I hasten to add… I was so terrified of getting it wrong that I actually remember that I couldn’t even make a phone call to reschedule an appointment I needed to change, I had to ask a friend to do it for me.

I’m not sure how I thought I could get a phone call wrong, but that’s how much it held me back.

Perfectionism had made me afraid to show up and use my voice, there was subconscious fears about getting it wrong, being laughed at, or making a fool of myself.

Now I show up in front of thousands of people, sometimes spluttering over my words, forgetting words, or even using the wrong ones, but I’m no longer afraid of not being perfect.

Of course, I want things to be the best they can be, but I show up and have a go knowing it’s not always going to be perfect and that’s totally okay with me.

I don’t expect myself to be perfect, and I don’t expect others to be either.

For me, it’s more important that people show up with all of their imperfections, than not show up at all.
